Sprucing up the space formerly occupied by Zamarea, Kava Cafe now sits as a suave and youthful cafe with luminous orange walls, purple-brown banquettes and globular brown-ball lights. Add a footpath seating area on the lush leafy strip of Bristol Avenue, and you've got a relaxing space to watch the world go by. Kava opens from morning to night, serving up Fair Trade Five Senses coffees, woodfired pizzas, fresh salads, pastas and mains such as the veal, pork and pistachio meatballs, Moroccan lamb rump and grilled scotch fillet. A couple of Asian noodle and curry dishes pop up, too, as well as some tasty cakes.
