Night to remember
Wonderful Mediterranean experience!
The food was very authentic in flavour. Firstly, the dips were divine followed by fresh oysters. The barramundi special was exceptional and the galactobouriko sweet and strong coffee complimented a tremendous treat for the senses.
Entertainment was warm with the large dance floor crowded with happy patrons. A quick Greek dancing lesson was the key to success in this department. Live music added to the festive environment.
Overall more than just a restaurant. A real festival!

Sensory assault
I had the misfortune of dining in this restaurant due to a coworker selecting it for a work function. It has a superb location, but our scenic night time stroll through a gloriously lit South Bank is where the compliments end. From the hard wooden seats that kind of make your tailbone ache, things went down hill - although, perhaps they hadn't intended for patrons to sit on those seats for quite as long as we did. It was an hour and thirty-five minutes from ordering till the arrival of our food - this after entrees were brought out a minute after ordering.
The wait was not made pleasant when the traditional Greek music began. A little local flavour would have been a nice touch and a nice distraction from our agonizing wait, but the riotous sensual assault of singing and the cacophany blaring from the headphones, combined with guests firing off crackers at other tables in celebration of someone's birthday, and, worst of all by far, the piercing whistles from the waiters who linked arms for an ostensibly spontaneous bout of traditional dancing, literally had our entire table wincing, our ears in pain. I am not exaggerating when I tell you: it was painful, it was drawn out and nonstop. The whistling was simply too freaking much.
Silly me, I thought a major part of dining out was conversation - suffice to say, if you eat here and are unfortunate enough to sit inside, your ears will be ringing tomorrow. It may be a good place to take someone with whom you find conversation repellent, but don't expect to be blown away by the food. It was so-so - the barramundi fillets were okay, but the lamb souvlaki tasted flavourless and tough.
The belly dancer was perhaps the evening's highlight - but to be fair, she didn't have much competition for highlights.
