Showing some capital city pride in its name, Kapital Kebab & Turkish Pide also celebrates the kebabs, falafels, dips and breads that Turkish cuisine is known for. This casual daytime cafe is something of a Canberra institution, originally launching in the Canberra Centre back in 1989, and operating there for 14 years before closing shop. In 2009, the Fyshwick community has embraced the return of Kapital Kebab in its new form as a friendly eat-in and takeaway joint. It's not just about pides and doner kebabs though - Kapital also offers a modern breakfast menu with a Turkish twist; the Big Turkish Breakfast is packed with Turkish salami and pastrami, egg, hash brown, fresh tomato, olives and Turkish bread.
