While only a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of Taylor Square and Oxford Street, this bright little cafe keeps it surprisingly cool, calm and collected on leafy Campbell Street. Kantine, which used to be Foodgame, plays a new game that involves all-day eggs, toast and fruit brekkies, fresh lunchtime sandwiches, salads and burgers, and an always-changing Modern Australian evening menu filled with new surprises every day. Naturally, as part of the ebullient cafe culture that Surry Hills is known for, Kantine does a mean cuppa and various sweet goods for those lazy afternoon catch-up sessions on the footpath.
