always good
Have never had a bad experience at Kamel. Such yummy food, at really decent prices. Even the simplest dishes, such as green beans and fetta are pulled off with panache. I quite like the way they bring things out a couple at a time- gives you time and space to enjoy everything. Have gone there as a couple, as a medium and big group- and the service has been consistently good. Always walk out feeling full, but satisfied.
If you have space, try the dessert platter- the persian fairy floss, and the turkish delight ice cream, are just yum.

Great food, service
Kamel was fantastic. We hadn't booked, but were welcomed at a busy time. Lovely staff, except we were stooged with the number of pork skewers. Turns out they had run out, would have been nice to tell us before hand. Received a complimentery dish instead, but only after complaining.

Our first dish of tabouli came out about 20min before anything else - rather odd, then the cous cous, then about 15min later the meat/mains.

However, the taste and staff make up for the imperfections!

Incredible service
I felt compelled to write this review after the phenomenal service we received at Kamel. Not only was our waitress a delight, she and the staff were incredibly accommodating of a friend's wheat intolerance. This including substituting in chickpea flour into the amazing fritters for us and toasting my friend's gluten-free bread. Apparently Kamel also have a menu which specifies what is gluten/wheat free.

I have been to Kamel many times and plan on going back many more. Get the halva ice cream!

Moroccan magic
Kamel serves absolutely sumptious and filling foods at an excellent price. It's also very vegetarian friendly which delighted me no end. Half a serve of dips for $8 satisfies two for entree, and one mezze platter is more than enough for a main. The zucchini and mint fritters are divine, and will have you rolling out the door.

Great for a Sunday lunch
The food is always beautiful. I would rate it 5 stars for the price but have to consider the fact that they only do 'progressive meals', which means that even if you request a few dishes to come at the same time, they just can't do anything about it... Service is attentive most of the time. I would highly recommend it for a relaxing weekend breakfast or lunch.

Excellent Food
Excellent Food. Chilli calamari and zucchini and mint fritters were among the favourites on the night from a selection of dishes shared.

Looking forward to getting back for mezze on the footpath on a hot summer's evening.

Inside was a bit loud for conversation, but if you're busy eating then that won't be too much of an issue.
