The Kallista Tea Rooms, housed in a quite iconic-looking art deco building with its glass, round shape forming a spectacular sunroom that looks out onto the lush green of the Dandenongs, is a famous spot for good reason. The cosy space features one red wall boasting a bright, eclectic mix of paintings, and rattan furniture perfect for long winter days with the paper.
Food-wise, expect a warming array of cafe staples and some genuinely irresistible sweet treats on display from the counter. Devonshire tea is a particular treat here, with the homemade scones accompanied by jam made from local berries and double cream.
