Fresh from forging his culinary name at Unkai in The Rocks, chef Hiroshi Miura is back to excite and entice a whole new breed of Sydney sushi lovers.
The change of scenery may seem a strange one - swapping a harbour-front tourist trap for sleepy suburban Neutral Bay - but Miura's timing couldn't have been better. The north shore has already seen an explosion of new, high profile dining ventures and Neutral Bay is at the centre of it all.
There may be some stiff competition but the safe money is on Miura being able to carve himself a large niche of customers who know and appreciate quality seafood. His signature style, a mix of purist classics and modern interpretations, has an easy mix of accessibility and refinement that is sure to please in his new affluent stomping ground.
