Having recently relocated to South Brisbane from the West End, Kafe Meze maintains its well-priced menu and rustic home-style Greek cuisine, with generous servings of souvlaki, moussaka and spanakopita cooked with authentic Mediterranean flair. Adding to the Aegean feel is the blue and white decor, a patriotic gesture to the national flag of what's also known as the 'Hellenic Republic'. From the decor to the service, the overall feel is unpretentious, welcoming and very Greek.

Extremely lousy service
I used to take away after work in kafe meze because the food portion was just nice for me. but y'day, when i dined in, they've provided an extremely lousy service.
The waiters & waitresses ignored us; then other customers that ordered later than us got their food first, we have to called out several times before someone finally noticed, then only got our meals served.& they've not respond to my complaint letter about the bad attitudes of their staffs. Maybe because I was not well dressed compare to other days/customers.

Amazing Greek Restaurant in West End!
I love the food at Kafe Meze, so beautiful and fresh! The courtyard in the back is wonderful for large functions and I highly recommend the meze banquet, the meatballs, the haloumi, the baklava and the beaufiful Rose Greek wine! Thank you to the staff for hosting such an amazing Sunday lunch. I am so impressed with the level of service, the beautifully renovated restaurant and most of all, the food! What a gem, I will surely be recommending it to everyone I know. It is no longer difficult to find a well run, friendly, and high quality family oriented Greek restaurant in Brisbane.

how disappointing
We went here expecting to experience great Greek food and came away thinking "why did we bother"!! The food seemed to be reheated, bland, pooly presented and basically, uninteresting. Certainly wouldn't go back again; why would you?

Yassou
First time dining here... got a tip from the entertainment book. Read the above reviews and don't believe what they wrote.... the food is excellent! Ordered mezes and found them to be good portions with all the flavours i remember from my travels to Greece. Absolutely superb! Definitely will dine there again.

Quite sad
I was really loking forward to this meal. I was eating with a Greek friend and his family, but it was so disappointing. I love Brisbane and love the West End. It was a Monday. Ouzeri was closed, so we ate at Kafe Meze. We should have worked it out after a perusal of the bored and tired bain marie. We should have left after the lacklustre dips..... definitely departed after the horrid saganaki. We were hungry. We ordered a few items singly off the menu, but none were vere very nice. It was food without love and that to me is what Greek food is about. Simple good food served with passion. Is there a good Greek restaurant in Bris?. Oh this pretty ghastly experience set us back $80 for 3. We really only snacked, but you really wouldn't want to order more.

Good honest Greek
Love this place as it seems very authentic, having eaten in Greece more than a few times. I like to order a number of dishes and share. Must have: the Greek coffee. BYO too which is a plus. Good bottle shop in nearby centre next to supermarket.
