Set in the manorial splendour of The Mansion Hotel at Werribee, Joseph's Restaurant gains much from its extraordinary surroundings. Plush carpets and leather banquette seating match the stately luxury of this grand old building and extensive grounds. Chef Martin Horsley's menu has a strong French influence, though there's less of the old-fashioned French classics and more experimental Gallic cooking. Add an extensive wine list to Joseph's virtues, and you have a seriously satisfying dining experience.
2009 Gourmet Traveller WINE Wine List Guide - "The grand surrounds of the Werribee Park Mansion Hotel & Spa deserve a list of equivalent elegance and charm, and this goes a long way towards providing it. "

Hidden treasure
Werribee Mansion provides an idyllic setting for this quality restaurant. Hidden away, it is a gem of a place with old style elegance mixing with a modern atmosphere.
We truly enjoyed the seasonal menu with a mixed entree and for myself, a revalation in the kingfish watermelon curry. The desserts were excellent.
I can thoroughly recommend the experience - for Joseph's alone or combined with a weekend away at the Mansion.
