Johnny's is the best sort of cafe - comfortable and friendly. It's also got some genuine surprises on the menu, such as the breakfast solet, made of slow-baked beans with barley and capsicum in tomato sauce served on rye toast. The coffee is first-rate and can even be pre-ordered by phone so it's ready when you arrive.

My fave
My fave cafe is Johnny's Cafe in Rosebery just near where I used to work. It's a small very funky retro cafe has THE best vego food. Atmosphere is warm and cosy, service is tops. Food is all vegetarian and really varied for a small place. It's sort of home style, like being in someone's home a bit. I love the hearty soups especially and most of the meals I've tried are really tasty too. eg the mmm melt. Fresh juices; I had the vitamin special - yuuum! And the coffee's really excellent. Great music on all the time. Good place to meet up with friends.

Johnny's Cafe Rosebery
Had lunch there with a friend and was impressed with the menu choices. We had the pasta deluxe speciale and loved it. Quaint surroundings with a nostalgic feeling. Fast and pleasant service. Will go back and try the pizza. Well recommended!!
