Joe's is a magnificently decorated South East Asian restaurant at the Hyatt Regency. Dominated by authentic timber and terracotta artworks, there is a casual, bustling atmosphere. Meals are prepared in the open view kitchen to the five-star standard you would expect of a Hyatt restaurant, but are surprisingly affordable.

Great Food, great value!
Have had dinner here a few times and it has always been yummy!!! The chilli plum duck, and nai prik pao squid (i think?) are so very nice, the flavours are amazing! The variety on the menu is good, and is not too overpowering, like some places can be. The Plain St bar is right next to it, and you can bring drinks from there if you don't like whats on Joe's menu (its very minimum for a restaurant)

great value
I am skeptical of buffets but had to rush here for there seafood buffet promotion at only $38. The food was hot, fresh and full of flavour. The balance of different curry dishes were superb and we chose from prawns, fish, New zealand mussels and Moreton bay bugs; a rare treat. The service was efficient, a comfortable atmosphere and a pleasant night. I have not tried thier set menu but for $38 on this night why would you.

Happy Joe
My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt for 3 nights commencing on Thursday. We had dinner at Joes Oriental Diner on the first night. The service and atmosphere combined to create a fantastic start to our weekend. The food, while I would rate it as good, was a little disappointing. I had the garlic prawns - great sized portion and tasty - just lacked that little bit of the X factor you would expect at a 5 star hotel restaurant. My wife had honey pepper beef and it too lacked the zip that we had anticipated. Our guest had the laksa and he said it was good but not the usual. Good value for money and we would return.
