Behind an unassuming, ye olde ice-creamery-style shopfront lies a heaven for frozen dessert lovers. Jock's has become something of an Albert Park institution since opening in 2001, and if you're in any doubt as to whether the hordes of Melburnians flocking here from all over the city are right, you can just check out the many framed awards covering an inside wall.
The more than two dozen flavours on offer are all made by Jock himself, with plenty of seasonal, adventurous varieties like Turkish delight and baked apple alongside the usual suspects. The hokey-pokey is one of Jock's signature flavours and is well worth a lick; full of honeycomb, biscuit and caramel, it's a sure-fire winner. But if ice-cream's not your thing (what are you doing here?), Jock's does cafe meals, too. Find a perch in the sun on the benches outside and chill out.
