It all began in the 1930s, when Jimmy Watson first opened this Lygon Street venue as a meeting place. Since then, Jimmy Watson's has changed to suit more refined Melburnian lifestyles and habits. Now Jimmy's grandsons, Simon and Nigel, have included a restaurant but have maintained the ethos of the original concept, the meeting place. The courtyard is a favourite for day diners. Grab some friends and talk politics, education or just life over one of the fortified wines they are known for.
