Jimmy Liks is an exercise in simplicity. The whole place is in one long room - restaurant to one side, bar to the other. The interior design is modern and minimalist, but the servings are large and impressive - a lot like its more expensive cousin, Longrain.

Great atmosphere, high prices
The food here is excellent and the whole restaurant has a really funcky vibe, but if you go with a group I would advise to choose the banquet option. We had a great time, but as we selected our own meals to share and then ordered a few drinks as well, the bill really added up! A great little spot that feels a million miles from the hustle and bustle of Darlinghurst Road around the corner, but make wise selections.

Great food, great wait staff, but the bar staff forget that they are bar staff, not Gods! Was there recently with a large party, ordered the banquet, which was fantastic, the wait staff were great/friendly but after our meal when we went to get cocktails at the bar we were treated like peasants (albeit I had just paid a bill of $1500!!!). There was 1 other person at the bar waiting to be served, I was there first yet the barman served him first and I then I had to wait 10 minutes!
