Set in the bustling shopping strip of Randwick, the elegant mushroom-toned interior with splashes of crimson is a world apart from both the traffic-clogged streets outside and from the beachside eateries of the other Jimbaran - the bay in Bali. However, the plastic over the tablecloths grounds the space, preventing any hint of intimidation, and reminding one that this restaurant is all about the food. In fact those plastic sheets may come in very handy as your group squabbles over the last bits of seafood curry, or sweet fried chicken. Jimbaran is comfortable, wonderfully authentic and most of all, incredibly good value.
