Java Lounge combines a random hodge-podge of furniture with walls hung generously with artworks to create a space that's as welcoming as it is eclectic. Coffee is a specialty, while the menu covers cafe breakfasts and yummy sandwiches. Busy mums can linger over the massive selection of teas, thanks to a great kids' corner.

LOVE IT!
I was antique shopping one day and found this place. The staff did warn us food may take upto 45 minutes to come out because it was so busy. We didn't mind waiting, when the meal did come out it was AMAZING!. Best eggs benny I have ever had, I don't mind coming from the other side of town to have Breakie here :)

We love it here!
We come here as often as we can. We love the atmosphere, a great place for families to come - there always seems to be little children running around. The service is fantastic we think, the staff are always friendly. I reccomend the zucchini loaf with poached eggs and hollandaise - yum! We want the recipe. The French toast is always fantastic too. Banana bread and honey is lovely for a light brekky (not quite sure about the tahini too, but its on the side so you dont have to put it on. A great selection of teas and drinks - Highly recommend it here!

Slow
Okay, so it was peak hour on a Sunday - but we waited an hour for our breakfast.
The food was good, smoothies were good and the coffee was good, but it simply took too long.

Don't waste your time
This is the second time I have been to Java Lounge and have yet again been given the excuse that their usual chef was not in. This place is always busy but it seems their kitchen size is unable to cater for the seating capacity. We were initially told our meals would take 25 minutes but ended waiting for 50. When our food did finally arrive, our order wasn't completely right. The food was ok but given the wait, it wasn't quite worth it.

A little disappointing
I was a little disappointed - the menu had great variety, but the servings were not that large and the taste didn't live up to the description. My companions had the same comments.
