Rather than a classic 'bistro', this James Street establishment serves an interesting menu that leaps from the Middle East to India, yet retains that Queensland vibe. With a soaringly high ceiling, long black marble communal table and open kitchen, the large open space is airy and casual.

Breakky
What a great place. I'm from NSW and stumbled across this place. Fantastic breakky, great coffee. It was busy but the service was great. Have to go back for the cakes which are to die for!!

Dinner and a movie
Indifferent service and luke warm food - not a great experience - we will not return. The Shiraz was excellent though!

Dinner & A Movie
Went there with friends before our movie for wine, pizza & tapas. Excellent! We were very well looked after by a lovely waitress. The food was really good, especially the baby calamari. The place was packed (no wonder). We've just found our new weekend hangout.

Breakfast at James Street
The food was the best I have had and I have traveled the world. The morning shift chef is the best, the staff were just great, the service was second to none, the coffee was the best. Thank you to all the staff at James Street Bistro.
