The first warning bell at J'adore came with inspection of our Valentine's day set menu. Our $55 each gave us a choice of sourdough and dipping oil for entree or bruschetta. The main course allowed us to choose four Spanish tapas to share: hardly a main meal, hardly worth a total of $110 and nothing like the meals advertised on their website! The second warning bell came when I saw an empty kitchen and a staff member turning the light off. The third when our entree of sourdough (which was actually Turkish bread) took 45 minutes. And the fourth when we saw our meals arriving through the front door from the tapas place next door.
The whole experience was farcical and we were astounded that they had the hide to charge us extortionate prices for average food that was being delivered from the place next door! A 20% discount still saw us paying $44 each for the privilege, plus wine. Taking a look at the prices at the tapas place as we left, we noted that we d have paid no more than $45 total if eaten directly at the place our food was coming from anyway. J'adore was the most ridiculous dining experience and the worst value for money I've ever encountered. I did not adore J'adore.

Bad cancellation just hours before the actual booking
Our booking for Saturday night dinner was all of a sudden cancelled by the restaurant, just 3 hours before the actual reservation! The reason mentioned was a big group booking; fair enough, but they knew this earlier than that Saturday arvo, so why not call us earlier in the week?
