Named after a small Malaysian town (Ipoh) and that soupy staple of Malaysian cuisine (laksa), Ipoh Laksa Malaysian Kitchen is a family-owned eatery on a modest strip of shops in Kangaroo Point. This lime-painted dining room features bright paintings, a length-wise mirror, and wooden chairs and floors, establishing a very casual vibe. Naturally, the laksas are the key attractions here, such as the Ipoh curry laksa, a homemade coconut curry featuring vermicelli and hokkein noodles, fish cakes, fish balls, egg, chicken, bean curd and bean sprouts. The banquets also offer good value if you're planning a feast.
