Year upon year, this trendy St Kilda cafe is a consistent entry in The Age's Cheap Eats guide for good reason. Still riding a wave of local goodwill, Inkr7 keeps 'em coming with its fresh coffees, brekkies and lunches, which include everything from your classic eggs Benedict to a sweet-meets-savoury fruit loaf and beyond. If you're lucky, and the sun's out, the leafy back courtyard is just the place to settle into with a close friend or a substitute (a newspaper, for example?); it feels something like a cosy suburban backyard with an extra buzz.
