Before you even think about deciding on your meal at Indian Tukka, get yourself some fresh pappadums and use the mixed pickle chutney to dip. Once you've taken the time to notice that the whole restaurant smells of sweet Indian spices, you're ready to order. Starting with the tomato saar is a good idea. It's a tangy tomato soup laced with coconut milk. After that, the spiced lamb in thick spinach gravy is great, but without doubt, locals love the Goa fish curry—its traditional flavours come from the west coast of India (just like the owners of the restaurant). You could also opt for juicy lamb cutlets, a korma of cashew and nutmeg-dusted chicken or garlic mushroom tikka for something lighter. After your main, choose from passionfruit, mango or pistachio ice cream. The milk dumplings are a great dessert as well. They're served with nuts, honey and butter.

I needed this!
First let me say I have high standards when it comes to Indian food, being spoilt by some of the best curry houses in the UK. Having been away from blighty for nearly two years now its been troublesome finding a truely excellent curry among the many avergage restaurants out there. Indian Tukka serves a truely excellent curry. I tried many dishes on the evening we were there and they were all cooked beautifully, the Fish Goan was exceptional. The hostess is also very warm and attentive, we look forward to seeing her again soon.

Tasty not overpowering
Living locally and fond of curry my husband decided to try the take away service. He chose the Puffs for entree and Rogan Josh for main meal. Both were delicious. The Riogan Josh was tasty, not overpowering. The service was terrific - we waited only about 20 minutes for a fresh meal. Whilst waiting inside I observed the staff and noticed they were all very friendly to guests and kept me informed of the progress. We both look forward to a sit in meal really soon. As a non-lover of curry it will be interesting to see what they serve me!

Finally a decent curry in Melbourne!
I have become a bit of a regular at Indian Tukka now and every dish I've had has been great. Being from the UK, the one thing I miss is a decent curry so I am so pleased to have finally found a place which serves up decent curries! The service is great too but the takeaway service is really slow. Had to wait over an hour once, but it's still worth the wait.
