Hidden away in a cubby hole in The Hub Arcade, just off Little Collins Street, is the Indian Gourmet Curry Hut. The perfume of Indian spices will lead you to a tiny bar with discount paintings brought back from India, plus ethnic music to match. They've squeezed about a dozen tables into the small space, and while the service is polite and attentive, it's also swift and sharp to ensure no-one has to wait too long. Tandoori, curry, vegetarian, roti and naan await hungry diners, but make sure to leave room for the pistachio kulfi afterward - infused with saffron, this homemade Indian ice cream will cool any post-vindaloo burns.

Nice curry in the city
It wasn't the best start to our visit as the waiter seemed to think we were invisible and it took some time to actually seat us even though we had a booking. But it got much better once we were seated as we were served promptly from then on. I ordered a very tasty goat curry and my friend had a yummy prawn curry. Although he ordered it med to quite hot though it wasn't terribly hot so if you want it hot, make it very clear to the waiter. In addition we ordered some garlic naan and some nice. Overall, the entire meal was good and quite enjoyable. And we were not the only ones to think so as almost every table was full. Will be going back.
