Beautiful food and location.........lousy service!
My wife and I decided to give Il Lio a shot to celebrate our anniversary. After all we wanted something special and unique, but this restaurant did not live up to its reputation. The quality and presentation of the food is high class, however both the food and drink orders seem to take forever. When the food does finally arrive at the table it is cold. From the time we sat down at our table, to the coffees at the end of the meal, it took 2 1/2 hours. Good thing we hadn t planned on going elsewhere after dinner. Although it was a Saturday night the restaurant was not full to capacity. Unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to our expectations. Maybe you should try it on a week night (in the low season)better still.....just go for a coffee... the best cappuccino in Darwin!
