Essentially a coffee joint, Il Espresso is a regular haunt for nearby businesspeople who come in for their steaming hot coffee fix every morning. Owner George Loupis only uses wood-roasted beans, prepared in separate grinders (one for macchiato and espresso, one for decaf and one for cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites) for best results. These caffeine-loving customers are also provided with breakfasts and other light snacks, with the bacon-heavy brekkie rolls proving particularly popular on the streets of East Sydney. The Football Federation of Australia is around one corner and Sony BMG is around another, so Il Espresso is frequently visited by soccer and rock stars alike, many of whom sign the walls with messages and drawings.

Creamy
Lovely creamy coffee. Their creamy lattes are the best. I am a well-known identity in Syd and as a result I like my discreet coffee nooks and Il Espresso is one of the best!
