Pleasantly Surprised
I'm a Sydney girl. I am no tourist. I expect to be ripped off if I choose to eat at Darling Harbour. But it's the closest restaurant to the Imax, so here we go.
I admit to being surpised when I was indeed *not* ripped off. The food was honestly pretty darn good. It's not cheap but at least it lives up to its pricing.
It was a quick dinner for us, being after a movie, so mains only. I had lovely soft pillows of gnocchi (made on the premises) with a rich veal ragu. Whole fish of the day was baby snapper done salt and pepper, which to be honest was a little too KFC tasting for my liking, but my husband loved it. The vegetarian ricotta ravioli also got good reviews and was again handmade pasta.
Service was great when it arrived which, sadly, was not often.
Other than that I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and had a lovely dinner.

Ice Cube = great
Had a wonderful evening here - food and cocktails are great value for money.
My boyfriend and I had the prawn cocktail and grilled king prawns, asparagus with mango salsa for starters.
For mains we had the mixed seafood bouillabaisse and surf & turf - beef tenderloin, 1/2 lobster tail, sauce bearnaise, asparagus, roasted baby onions (which was absolutely delightful).
We hadn't stopped stuffing ourselves yet so we ordered dessert, crunchy chocolate brulee with peppermint ice cream and my bf had the lemon curd tart with seasonal berries and King Island cream. Beautiful!
We can't wait to go back there! Wait staff were lovely and we just had a great evening!
