This is no cheap and cheerful green curry merchant, as the stellar waterside view certainly attests. The menu is extensive and all dishes are cooked to order, though if you're part of a group of eight or more, you need to order from the banquet menu.

Rip Off!
What a rip off! $29.90 PP starting price for banquet menu, for that you 3 small breast pieces of chicken in a green curry sauce, two handfuls of squid fried with salt and pepper and one plate of veges, stir fried + rice. This is to be shared amongst 4 adults. In a crowd of 30 people!
The service is crap! Don't bother with ordering drinks at the small bar/ order/ checkout/ wine cellar. Drinks won't be made for 10 mins at a time as staff ignore you and take food orders.
For this price and service, don't waste your time and effort, do not go to this hell hole. You will get much better value and service at other Thai resturants in the city. Needless to say we won't be going there again.

Corporate Lunch
My company went to I Thai for lunch on a very windy day. We sat inside, it was a pleasant atmosphere, with the heaters on. The food portions are satisfactory. The view, gorgeous. Red duck curry was divine, but I wish it was a larger serving. They a have good variety of selections. I will definitely go again to try something new.

The location, with its view over Cockle Bay looking towards Darling Harbour even on a wet and windy night, was fantastic. Restaurant decor was great - although with its stark wooden finishes it was very noisy. It was hard to hear, which spoiled the night a little. We went as a group (20 pax) and ordered the $50 banquet - it started well. Beautiful hot, crisp and light spring rolls -individually served. Bowls of rather greasy prawn crackers arrived (and as we discovered later these were $6 a bowl - and not included in the banquet.) The stir fry beef tasted and looked great - but was not hot. Sir fry mixed vegetables - tasted and looked great- but was not hot either. All the food was beautifully garnished. Not much variety as most food was fried and sadly no sign of their signature dish. Value for money: By the time we paid for the guest of honour, our own portion and the prawn crackers -it cost $54 each (and that was without drinks).

Poor service and rude staff
I eat in restaurants regularly both for business and pleasure but never before have I encountered a more unprofessional place for service in my life.
We were a party of 8 and we were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived. Shortly after we arrived the restaurant became extremely busy.
Two hours after we arrived at the restaurant we had not received any food despite numerous complaints. Some parties who arrived after us did receive food and were given the wrong meals. The wrong meals were not replaced. A group of English tourists next us asked how much longer the food would be and were told rather rudely by the waitress not to complain.
The whole restaurant was buzzing with customers speaking to each other over the various tables and complaining to each other.
Needless to say our party left and other groups were doing the same.
I can t review the food as we were not served any food at our table in the two hours we were there. However, the table next to us complained there food was overcooked and had a burnt taste.
