This Adelaide institution has used a name change and a facelift to rediscover its pub roots, offering a new "classic" look with a focus on tasty modern pub-style food fare, plenty of cold beers on tap and old-school community engagement.
It's a refreshing departure from the trend to overstylise, and the results are evident by the large crowd of 20-somethings eager for a table and a bite to eat. The menu does the classics plus a few modern treats, with the stand-out offering being the chargrilled beef fillet on a bed of fondant potato and buttered greens served with a bone marrow beurre rouge. All in all, this is a great place for a delicious, no-fuss meal and a pint among friends.
