It might seem a bit out of synch having a Brisbane pub called "Hotel LA", but there's nothing Californian about this legendary heritage-listed pub (the LA actually stands for Lord Alfred!). The pub looks quite a bit different to how it would've looked back in the 1800s, but there are still a few touches that remind you of the history, like the sandstone walls and pillars in the otherwise modern basement bar. While great for group events, footy nights and night clubbing, Hotel LA is also a prime spot for a prime steak, such as a 400g Hunter Valley Prime Angus Hereford steak, or a 300g Gippsland pasture-fed Angus breed beef rump.
