No, you aren't dreaming. This hotel bistro does serve decadent but cheap pub grub. The duck risotto with porcini mushrooms and truffle oil certainly one-ups your standard pub parmagiana. Although schnitzels and caesar salads are on the menu for those who prefer traditional hotel cuisine, the marinated kangaroo fillet with sauteed herb potatoes, crispy pancetta ,fried onion and a juniper berry rosemary jus sounds too good to resist. By the time the pavlova with passionfruit curd, coriander strawberry salad and tequila syrup comes around, it'll be hard to remember that you're actually at the local.
