A great night out!
Visited the Himalayan Kitchen for my birthday with my wife and 2 children (13 and 8) and was not left disapointed! We had the banquet which was great as it allowed us to try a bit of everything. The food was fresh and had some great flavours. The owners of the HK are great and showed fantastic customer service. Will I go back again - without a doubt!! :)

It was pretty good
My partner and I went for dinner and were lucky to get a seat because we hadn't booked and this was obviously a popular place.
They had a good wine list but I noticed on other tables you could BYO also.
If you can't decide on an entree you can have a combination plate, one of everything. This was good. They had a broad range of mains and delicious looking specials.
For the most part the food really was delicious however although I love salt i did find some food a bit salty. I hope this was just a once off.
We will go again when they move across the road to the bigger venue.
It is a good place to go with friends I think as well.

It's great to be there, come on enjoy!
The flavour that I have searched for in Nepali restaurants all over from the base of Mount Everest could be tasted in The Himalayan Kitchen. MOMO to sherpa lamb from the high hills to the plain tharu machha is a splendid taste. Come on enjoy everyone and experience the real charm of the food from mountainous country Nepal, where smiles are the biggest assets. Have a lovely dinner here, as I do.

Momo's to die for!
The Himalayan Kitchen is one of our favourite restaurants - tasty, authentic Nepalese food, without weighing you down, the way Indian food can. Service is friendly and staff are knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. Relaxed atmosphere. I have had a lot of momo's in my day, but the ones served at Himalayan Kitchen are by far the best! Great value!

Definitely will cross this one off the list
My boyfriend and I ate here last night and we will definitely not be going back - or recommending it to anyone else either.
We each ordered the Four Seasons entree ($8.90). The momo (a chicken and vegetable steamed dumpling, served with a tomato and coriander chutney-like dipping sauce) was quite tasty, but the pastry was slightly undercooked and chewy. The bereco roti, a spring roll, was burnt on the edges and tasteless; the spring onion fritter was overcooked and dry (we suspect reheated in a microwave); and, the worst of the lot, the sekuwa (chicken) was rubbery and tasted reheated too.
We hoped the mains would be better. But alas, no. Both mains arrived - the curry swimming around a small disc of steamed rice on an uninspiring large white plate. My boyfriend had the lama goat curry, slow-cooked with mustard oil and fenugreek. The meat was in small squares, chewy and had no flavour of the sauce - definitely not 'slow-cooked'. My main, the Festival Chicken (a red chicken curry), was riddled with fat and gristle, and also tasted pre-cooked. I suspect it was simply added to the sauce, of which tasted like it was poured straight from a can - no spice and artificially sweet. The roti ($4 each) filled with spiced potato came out pre-sliced in triangles with the same tomato dipping sauce from the entree. The potato was not very spiced at all and, once again, the roti tasted reheated.
Apart from the just-passable momo, the entire meal was tasteless with not a hint of authentic flavour. The bill came to over $65 and definitely did not reflect the quality of the food we d been served. The service was quick and competent, but needless to say, we weren't asked if we enjoyed our meal at the end of the night!
Overall poor presentation, horrible food and definitely not value-for-money.
