One of the less commercialised cuisines of South Asia, Nepalese food still has a unique aura about it, which is all the more reason for us to find out just what it's all about at restaurants like Himalayan Char Grill. Following the successful Crows Nest flagship eatery of the same name, this Glebe restaurant has a more intimate ambience than its predecessor, set in a warmly lit two-storey terrace with a charming courtyard out the back.
There's enough for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, including the tarkari Himalayan-spiced vegie mix; the sekuwa chicken, an overnight-marinated chargrilled chicken dish; and the Nariwali prawn coconut sauce dish.
