As is wont to happen in the ever-changing world of restaurants Enris has gone the way of the dodo. In its place this contemporary yet casual brasserie now has a chance to shine.
The name and the decor aren't the only things to change at the new Hill's Oyster & Brasserie - the cuisine has also shifted from predominantly Latin American flavours to a succinct menu of mod-Oz classics.
If you can pull yourself away from the weighty list of freshly-shucked oysters (and we're not advising that you should) then you you'll find a menu that spans several culinary schools, picking and choosing the best parts of each. Classic French technique is displayed prominently with a dish of duck two ways on a bed of pearl barley risotto with a madeira sauce, while a grain-fed beef carpaccio with grissini makes a quick foray into the realm of Italian classics.
