Combining the best elements of an artisan patisserie and a modern cafe, Heart of Europe offers something special in Bondi Junction. Everything is made on the premises from scratch, using natural ingredients and packing in plenty of delicate sweet and savoury flavours. On the sweet front, the homemade brioche and ricotta hotcakes are hard to resist, while savoury lunch items show a more distinct European personality in dishes like the goulash stew, the Bryndzove Halusky (a Slovak dish featuring spetzle, sheep's milk feta, and bacon lardons), and continental frankfurts. To go with the home-style foods, the atmosphere is appropriately homely and friendly.
