With the increasing popularity of bubble and milk pearl teas on our shores, this Taiwanese-style venture serves up a top-quality selection of these unique beverages, as well as some simple dishes to nibble on.
For those unfamiliar with the concoction, bubble tea is an ultra-sweet milky tea drink containing toppings such as tapioca pearls (shiny sweet balls made from sweet potato, cassava root and brown sugar) and fruit-flavoured jellies, which sit at the bottom of the drink.
You can order from a range of interesting tea combos - pomegranate green tea, yoghurt black tea, roses milk tea - and suck up the quirky toppings through the fat straws provided. As for food, toast and spreads are the most common, from hazelnut chocolate toast to peanut butter toast, and some soups are also available, including red bean soup with rice balls, sesame soup and coconut soup.
