Taking over the reins from Margherita's, the iconic, much-loved cafe that was Hawker Street Cafe's predecessor, this place has big shoes to fill. Luckily, it passes the test and offers amazingly fresh, generous breakfasts and lunches in a very laidback setting, which results in a chilled-out cafe that Adelaide folk are willing to make the trip from the eastern suburbs for. Plus (and this is a big plus) they're pretty serious about their coffee here. It's what most of these cool, young, arty folk are here for and it's worth the special trip.
