Harem = recommended !
I have had the pleasure of dining at HAREM on three occasions, each being a pleasant, authentic, tasty Turkish experience.
The atmosphere is always pleasant... the restaurant is adorned with Turkish furnishings and ornaments and the traditional Turkish music enhances the dining experience - as well as the opportunity to wear a Turkish hat.
The service is always exceptional (the manager is very hospitable and evidently passionate about his cuisine and ethnic traditions) and last but not least the food is well prepared, nicely served, delicious... and reasonably affordable! I definitely recommend this restaurant and will go there again.

delighted
My friends and I were quite pleased with the food at Harem. We ordered the banquet and ended up taking 4 containers of left overs home with us. The belly dancer was really good. Although we arrived during the performance and had to wait to the end of the performance before someone would take our order. We were delighted to find out that they were licenced for Shisha as many places aren't in Brisbane. Service was quick and we got a different waiter each time which was confusing. But was overall impressed - would recommend to anyone.

Improvement needed
Myself and 4 friends dined at Harem restaurant on Saturday night. The service there left a lot to be desired, the staff did not even know what a knife and fork placed together meant (take the plate away). Three of the five meals ordered had to be changed as they had no lamb available, and for a Turkish restaurant the only Turkish thing about it was the bread. The only positive comment this reviewer can give is that the atmosphere was pleasant.
