Happy's Chinese Restaurant

Blink, and it's highly likely that you'd miss the entrance to this old dame, a stalwart of the Canberra dining scene for more than 40 years. There's a mural of the Great Wall of China along one of the walls, painted by the original owner, but patrons come here for the reasonably priced food, which includes specialties such as beef in black bean sauce and fried boneless quail in a bird's nest.

Always Happy
I love Happys for its authentic atmosphere, great service and delicious food. We are always remembered when we go there and nothing is too much for the host and his team. Well done. :)

Hope you like to eat fast
Whilst the food is tasty and quick to come out, don't go to Happy's if your idea of eating out is a night's entertainment. The service is fast but abrupt, so don't expect to be able to sit for over an hour - the restaurant is on a constant drive to turn the tables over quickly.

Never disappoints!
I'm so surprised that no-one has reviewed Happy's Chinese yet! It is an old fashioned looking restaurant located sort of underground and as a result is kind of dingy but the food is always fantastic and the staff are so friendly. You never have to wait long for anything. It has very reasonable prices too. (Try the combination flat rice noodles!)
