Up a flight of stairs, down the river end of Mends Street near the jetty, this Asian restaurant is a hidden treasure. Simply decorated, with polished floorboards, white linen tablecloths and silverware, there are a few pictures on the walls, lit by red lanterns. The food is the focus here with award winning chef Jacob Cheong coming from a background of Asian cooking in the US, where he created an empire of seven large restaurants. Here, working on a smaller scale, he enjoys the fact that he can put more love and effort into each dish. Try the Malaysian curry, or the satay dishes.
