A happy cook is a cook that can masterfully prepare hand-made noodles as well as creating a decadent Peking duck with all the trimmings. Operating in a homely space along a busy road, locals and Melbourne food cognoscenti rate the Chinese fare at Happy Cook Peking Cuisine restaurant to be among the best, and most reasonably priced, in all of Victoria. As a word of caution, however, those wanting to experience a memorable Peking duck delight are advised to book in advance, so as not to miss out.

Peking Duck
Hi everyone,
Firstly I'd like to say that I am a big fan of Peking duck. I travel frequently interstate and have dinned at many Chinese restaurants. Happy Cook is my favourite by far (formerly Fortuna Village in China Town) as whenever we eat at this restaurant we always go away with the exact same feeling - Yummy. The Peking duck is by far the most succulent, fresh tasting duck I have had anywhere in Australia. There is definitely something special about the duck at Happy Cook, I can only say that every time I take a bite it leaves me craving for more. If you do decide to try it, please call ahead as it is made to order. I don t work for Happy cook, I am just a big fan and recommend anyone to try it.
