Hanabi means "fireworks" in Japanese, and this classy inner-city Japanese and Korean eatery is likely to set off some culinary explosions in many satisfied palates. Under new ownership since June, 2008, Hanabi focuses on the kind of classic cuisine you'd find back in Tokyo or Seoul, served in a subtle environment peopled with pot plants, and lit by an intimate glow. If starters get you going, the Korean pancakes and deep-fried dumplings are enough to whet your appetite for the main course. At lunchtime, these include teriyaki chicken, seafood udon and sushi sets, while at dinner, exciting delicacies include the pumpkin ginseng chicken soup, the pork belly lettuce wrap, and the cheese fire chicken on the grill. To top it off, the various Korean and Japanese beverages make for nice accompaniments.
