Essentially two restaurants in one, Hallah is a contemporary Korean restaurant with multiple personalities: upstairs, it's a fiery Korean barbecue filled with meats you don't often encounter (pork shoulder butt and ox tongue among them); downstairs, the mood is more low-key and suave, reserved for Korean-style tapas and classic a la carte dining. There's an overall feeling of warmth in the wooden-floored, brick-walled street-level space, which features dark chocolate-hued wooden tables and banquettes to enhance the cosy ambience. From this menu, you'll find delicacies from across Korea, like the seafood and spring onion pancake, the Dragon Chicken (which they promise will have you "breathing fire"), and the Korean dessert, hodduk with ice cream, peanuts, sugar and cinnamon.
