Renowned as one of Melbourne's hubs of multicultural cuisine, Sydney Road is home to Gurkhas Brunswick, a popular Nepalese restaurant with five sister eateries across the city. In the village-style "Brunswick Precinct" of the strip, Gurkhas offers a welcoming dining haven for anyone in the mood to try - or return for - a Himalayan feast. From chicken jhyap (sauteed grilled pieces of chicken with sesame seeds, soya and almonds), to dal jhaneko (spiced red lentils), much of the menu is gluten-free, and very reasonably priced.
