Greener than a Granny Smith apple, this eco-friendly lounge bar serves locally sourced wines and an all-day vegetarian menu that does its best to tempt even the most committed carnivores. Dedicated to keeping its carbon footprint tightly bound, Grumpy's Green only dishes up food found in Victoria and regularly encourage guests to drink and dine by the light of soy candles.
The menu attracts more than just lean dreadlocked types, with options such as marinated tofu skewers and chickpea-battered vegetables standing alone as tasty tapas-style treats. The roasted pumpkin and asparagus risotto offers a heartier option for those that didn't just come to sample the array of locally brewed beers.

Good lazy days
My partner and I came across this place last Sunday after rolling out of bed and quickly found ourselves becoming embedded in its cushiony interior. We tried at least 3-4 of the local beers and both had a grumpy brekky (divine). I think the charm came from its relaxed atmosphere. Friendly enough staff, chill music...definitely recommended as a laidback space.

grumpys green
Dont know about the eco friendly side of it. But the beer list is awesome. The vegetarian food was really good (for someone who loves meat) and the bartender gave me samples of all the tap beers before I had to choose. Sweet beer garden. More of a pub than a restaurant. Worth checking out

Try the beer, leave the rest
Average at best. A brief encounter with staff left one wondering whether the name Grumpy's Green was introduced before or after the current staff members' arrival; or perhaps its a sought after trait during the interview process? who knows. Another slapped together 'eco-trendy' Melbourne bar. They do some good beers, but disappointing in most other areas.
