Grill'd is the ultimate no-gimmick burger store that focuses on a healthy incarnation of a fast food favourite. Judging by the mischievous statements like "no drive thru", "no god damn colonel" and "no clowns" boldly painted in red across the outside walls and signature artwork by up-and-coming Melbourne painter Josh Gurrie adorning the interior, the proprietors have a healthy sense of humour too. With interesting ingredients like roasted peppers, Brie and basil pesto to mix and match with a range of vegetarian, lean chicken, lamb and beef patties, these burgers are the real deal.

Good burgers and anti-clown atmosphere
I really like the burgers especially the Bird'n'brie and the chips are the best semi-fast-food chips you can get. Even my vegan 65yo+ mum loves the vegie options.

Boring burgers
I love burgers and really love chips, and everyone goes nuts about Grill'd, but I'm not a fan. Their buns are gross, none of the flavours are balanced together, leading to an overall bland burger. The chips are too chunky (and often uncrisp). I'd prefer a tasty, greasy thing from a real suburban, mum-and-dad kind of shop rather than a place that isn't mcd's, but might as well be.

Even my mum loves burgers now!
The food here is great. Just as the brand prescribes, there are no gimmicks or mascots, just really good quality burgers that are unbleievably healthy and tasty. Choose from a selection of either lean beef, chicken breast, lamb, or vegie burgers, all of which come with a good serving of healthy greens such as beetroot, avacado, baby spinach & carrots. Skip the chips if your diet restricts, but these chips aren't your average fast food types - thick-cut, herbed and lightly salted, they taste great with the dipping sauces. Get your order in early before lunch hour as it can get a little bit crowded (seating is limited) with many business-type people and high school students from the vicinity.
