Melburnians love their laneways, and one of the most well known, and with possibly the most dining options, is Hardware Lane. It's here, among the Italian, Mediterranean and modern Australian restaurants and cafes, that you'll find Grill Steak Seafood.
While the restaurant's name might seem to pigeonhole it somewhat, it belies a large and varied menu. Steak is, of course, the main event here - a selection of aged or grain-fed cuts from the tenderloin to a massive 1kg rib eye. Those who prefer their meat white and of the swimming variety can still enjoy the thrill of the grill, with fillets of barramundi, snapper or red emperor served up with crispy fries and lemon butter sauce. Pasta lovers will rejoice at the selection of classic and modern dishes, from home-style linguine bolognese to spicy penne with chorizo and olives in a Napoli sauce.
