Not to be confused with the similar sounding Gryffindor of Harry Potter fame, Grigons & Orr still exudes a tiny bit of magic - menu magic, that is. Oh yes indeed, folk flock from all around town to try the brekkie and lunch offerings available here. These delights may include ricotta pancakes with blueberries; French toast glazed with balsamic and served with bacon; and apple fritters served with yoghurt and a butterscotch sauce.

Nice and busy corner cafe
Our party of 3 went for a somewhat late brunch on a lovely Saturday afternoon. It's a tiny corner cafe with a local corner milk bar feel. Everytime I've passed it, it's quite busy - especially on a nice day where they've got plenty of outdoor seating.
When we arrived, there were a few people in front of us waiting for tables, but the waiter was really nice and arranged little milk crates with comfy blankets on them for us to sit on and a menu to read while we waited. We only had to wait about 10 minutes before we were seated.
And then the service became quite slow. Understandably they're busy and low on staff, and it was such a pretty day and the cafe was nice so we didn't really mind. When we were finally served, we ordered the BLT, proscuitto eggs and the cannelli beans from the specials board. All the dishes were really yummy, they were nicely presented, and good portions to our cure saturday hangovers. We ordered a coffee which never came out, but the food came out in a very timely manner.
I would like to recommend Grigons & Orr for a relaxed and yummy lunch or brunch - just as long as you're not in a rush. What is a great little cafe is overshadowed slightly by its slow service, but definitely worth a visit.
