Greek Spot

I visited this place after travelling from Perth with group of 12 golfers. We had a $45 banquet which was sensational. Dips were very Greek to start , with chicken , lamb , squid , fish , some sort of meat pattie and salads. The only downer of the night was the white bait which was way too sandy but the owner suggested it was like this due to the time of year ? Not good. BYO wine makes it affordable. I have been here 3 times now over the last couple of years and this food is good.

Wednesday night and the place was nearly full - arrived without a booking and were seated without any fuss. The wait staff explained the specials, took our orders and brought us some amazing food. They have a limited menu, but they do simple greek food amazingly well - had the fetta on charcoal and grilled prawns to start, and for a main we shared a mixed grill platter. The food was absolutely brilliant - good sized portions, simple, and delicious. This is not a five star restaurant so you shouldn't expect to be treated like the Queen (there is nothing wrong with being pointed to a table - the place is small enough that all of the tables are in one small room), the staff are polite and friendly and we will certainly be going back (soon)

The food was not great, in fact, its presentation was poor. A Greek salad was spoiled with some gravy poured all over the salad before serving. The fetta cheese was just shavings of cheese not even one decent dollop of cheese to be seen. Offering half a tomato in the salad was a little mean. The food portions were rather small. And the poor waiters need training.

I have never been seated at a rest. with pointing of the finger. We were pointed at, at the door then our table was again pointed to us. Not a welcome not a word for a good 10min. till we asked to see the drink menu. We had our 24 and 22 y.o. sons with us who could not believe the way we were treated. It was a shame because the food was very nice, although we did complain about having to pay extra for pita bread when we ordered dips(at no time where we told that plain bread came with the dips).

The food was good but the portions were small. Menu was out of date and did not reflect true prices.

I have never tasted such beautiful food ever! I enjoyed a similar menu in a Greek restaurant in the CBD which I thought was nice - but this was amazing! Am still craving more whitebait!

I have not had better quality food and better service then this all my life and I have travelled overseas many times. You have not experienced a good meal until you dine at the Greek Spot!
