As wine bars continue to gradually proliferate across Hobart, Grape Bar & Tapas stays committed to the concept of fine wines paired with good food in a warm, relaxed and classy environment. Located in Salamanca Place, Grape houses more than 650 wine varietals in its Enomatic cellar, all of which can be consumed right away or taken out.
After getting lost in a labyrinth of fine wines, you'll find a comfortable refuge in the dining area, which is accentuated by red poufs and banquettes and dark timber tables. The evening menus contain such delights as duck terrine, chicken liver pate and artichoke and prosciutto pizza, though you'll find plenty to snack on during the weekend breakfasts and the every-day snack and cheese boards that abound.

Cellar in Salamanca
Your eyes will be wide open on entry: With low beam ceilings, all walls lined with a staggering selection of wines, industrial style furniture, good live music in the back ground, with a menu that will challenge your palette, creating an inviting, relaxing wine cellar ambience. We ate Tapas style. With Tasmanian Wines, all very enjoyable. A Chartley Estate, Black Crow Pinot Noir, 10 Rowella Tas. Kleglinger Brut De Blances, 03 Piper Brook. Acompaning, Braised prawns with cafe de Paris butter 14 month aged Jamon w slow cooked peaches. Oyster asst, red wine & shallot vinaigrette, minced onion & smoked fish dressing. Rye bread, pancetta, whiskey, & Worcestershire. Cauliflower kofta w cumin, mint & yoghurt BBQ lamb w zhug & Lanka Chopped quail, almond, fennel & artichoke, accompanied by a beautiful chardonnay, Apsley Gorge, 08 Bicheno Tas. The finale, Roast pear filled w amoretti & icecream. Spanish donuts with chocolate sauce & icecream. With Frogmore Iced Riesling 08 Coal River Valley. All excellently prepared and presented, totally delicious. The service on arrival through to departure was faultless. This is a world class Tapas, Wine Bar, dining experience. Highly recommended.
