When it comes to serving wholesome, home-cooked German fare, Granma knows best. There is no actual 'Granma' to speak of here, though owner Ann Rehwinkel does have two of her children, Richard and Alice, running the kitchen, and boasts to be the proud surrogate grandmother of several horses, dogs and other animals in the area. This family atmosphere extends to the inviting atmosphere, from the cosy interiors to the lush garden courtyard. The Rehwinkels work from old family recipes, creating rindsroularden (a beef dish with bacon and onions) and apple strudel that you will not soon forget.
