Gone are the scungy days of that infamous corner pub, the Goldfish Bowl, as the future is nigh for the new, chic cocktail, tapas and jazz bar that replaces it, known simply as "Goldfish".
Despite being right in the thick of the tumult of Kings Cross, Goldfish provides a plush refuge for hipsters who prefer to be seen under mood lighting and on dark couches, nestling into comfy cushions. As well as offering an intriguing cocktail list, Goldfish tickles the tastebuds with mod-Oz, Asian and Mediterranean-style tapas titbits, like Hiramasa kingfish carpaccio, slow-cooked lamb meatballs, and the ubiquitous - yet always satisfying - cheese plate.
